Are you looking for a way to get more involved in the Indianapolis Bar Association? To meet and network with other labor and employment attorneys? And to serve the profession and the community at large?
If so, please consider serving a term on the Executive Committee of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. Membership on the Committee provides an excellent opportunity for attorneys at any stage of their careers to get more involved.
This Committee is responsible for organizing the activities of the Section. The Committee has primarily focused on planning and presenting CLE events and is actively looking for additional ways to serve section members. In the coming year, the Committee will be organizing networking events and publishing a section newsletter.
The Committee meets monthly, usually for lunch meetings at the IndyBar offices. Terms are from one to five years maximum. Active participation in planning and leading section events is expected. Executive Committee members spend an average of less than two hours per month on committee activities. There is no additional financial obligation to be a member of the Committee.
Beginning in 2015, the Committee will have multiple open positions. If you would like to be considered, please contact Chris Walsh (firstname.lastname@example.org) at the IndyBar by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 24. It’d be helpful if you included some background information about yourself, such as your years in practice, the focus of your practice (e.g., management side, plaintiff side, government, in-house counsel, judicial, etc.), and anything else you think relevant. Please also explain why you are interested in serving on the Executive Committee.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Chris Walsh (email@example.com) at the IndyBar.
Thank you for your consideration!
