The USPTO has published a new rule in the Federal Register requiring electronic filing for trademark submissions. This rule becomes effective on October 5.

From August 3, 2019, all non-U.S. applicants, registrants and parties to Trademark Trial and Appeal Board opposition or cancellation proceedings are required to be represented by a U.S. licensed attorney.

Tesla Inc. has accused four former employees of stealing company trade secrets and selling them to a competitor. According to the California federal court Complaint, Scott Turner, Sydney Cooper, Christian Dement and Craig Emigh are alleged to have stolen proprietary information regarding Tesla’s warehousing, logistics and inventory control operations upon departing the company to work for a competitor, Zoox, Inc.
