Need a lawyer referral? The IndyBar's Indy Lawyer Finder service is free to use and is your trusted source fora an attorney referral in central Indiana. Indy Lawyer Finder can help you find an Indianapolis-area attorney for various legal needs, from family law (including divorce and custody), criminal law (including DUI and expungements), liability (including auto accidents, medical malpractice, negligence and personal injury), estate planning (wills and trusts), and real estate (including landlord/tenant issues and buying/selling property) to bankruptcy (including debt resolution, collections, Ch. 7 and Ch. 13), civil rights, immigration, school law, appeals and worker's compensation, small business law, employment law and business litigation, among others. Start your search now and find your next Indianapolis lawyer.

The Indianapolis Bar Association offers a variety of Legal Advice programs. These programs may be helpful to you if you have a simple legal question for an attorney, or if you need feedback from an attorney on how to proceed with your legal issue. These programs do not offer representation. To find an attorney, complete the referral process on this site or call 317-269-2222 to receive a referral.

Ask a Lawyer
What do I do if I get pulled over? How do I change custody for my child? Where do I start if I need a will?

Without the guidance of a lawyer, navigating the judicial system or even finding the answer to a seemingly simple question can be both intimidating and confusing. But getting answers to legal questions from licensed attorneys is easy AND free at the IndyBar's Ask a Lawyer events, held twice yearly.

Qualified, licensed attorneys will be available for one-on-one consultations at no cost and with no further obligation at both locations throughout the city and by phone.

Ask a Lawyer is typically offered twice a year in April and October. For more details, including date and location information, click here.

Free Wills Clinic
Who will carry out your wishes about financial & health care matters when you can no longer speak for yourself? Do you have provisions in place for minor children? Every person, regardless of age or assets, should have a voice.

Through the Free Wills Clinic, Indianapolis Bar Association attorneys draft wills for FREE as a service for low-income Indy residents. Qualified individuals who meet the financial criteria (based on income, home equity and liquid assets) can meet privately with an attorney who will draft a last will and testament and advance directives for them.
