For nearly 150 years, the IndyBar has served as a common thread that connects professionals in our legal community. Now it’s easier than ever to stay on top of who’s who and what’s new in Indy with two new association communications tools that launched this spring.

In Your Mailbox:
For the first time in its 141-year history, the Indianapolis Bar Association has its own magazine. The IndyBar Record’s inaugural issue highlighted the historic all-female Marion Superior Court Executive Committee, shared travel tips surrounding the 75th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, provided updates on association and foundation happenings and much more.

“This new magazine will celebrate you and our community,” says IndyBar President Tom Barnard of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. “You will gain new insights into the lives of other lawyers. If we do our job, you will feel more pride in being an IndyBar member.

The IndyBar Record is mailed quarterly to all IndyBar members, with the summer issue slated to hit mailboxes in mid-July. Make sure your mailing address is up-to-date by visiting indybar.org/myprofile. Past issues and information on advertising in The IndyBar Record can be found at indybar.org/magazine.

On Your Speakers:
What happens when Indy-area lawyers and judges go “off the record”? Find out with the IndyBar’s new podcast, Off the Record with James Bell. On the podcast, Bell sits down with legal luminaries in the Indy legal community and beyond to share stories that go beyond the courtroom.

The first episode of Off the Record featured nationally-recognized death penalty attorney Monica Foster of Indiana Federal Community Defenders, with the second delving into the world of family law with Jim Reed of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP. Additional episodes are scheduled to launch every two weeks.
