With the ongoing distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, both employers and employees will likely face questions regarding their rights and best practices regarding vaccinations in the workplace. An upcoming Indianapolis Bar Association webinar will address these concerns, and a special registration rate has been made available for non-lawyer participants.
“Vaccinations and the Workplace” will take place via Zoom webinar on Thursday, February 18 from noon to 1 p.m. While the program is designed for attorneys, members of the public are invited to attend to gain this essential information at a special reduced registration rate. Upon registration, attendees will receive a confirmation email with instructions for accessing the live webinar.
During the program, local attorneys Jamie Maddox of Betz + Blevins and Brian Mosby of Littler Mendelsohn PC will cover topics including employee and employer rights when it comes to vaccination requirements, employer vaccination policies, advantages and disadvantages of vaccination requirements and more.

With two vaccines currently approved for use in the United States, widespread efforts are underway to bolster public confidence in the vaccines in order to curb the global pandemic. According to the CDC, all COVID-19 vaccines available in the U.S. have been carefully evaluated in clinical trials and have been shown to be highly effective at preventing COVID-19. The CDC notes that the combination of getting vaccinated and following its recommendations with regard to social distancing and masking will offer the best protection from COVID-19.
