News You Can Use

  • IndyBar Sections and Divisions Need You: Apply to Serve on a Committee! - As 2020 ticks to a close, IndyBar sections and divisions are in the process of evaluating their committee rosters and determining vacancies for 2021. Now is the perfect time to indicate your interest in serving on a committee. While space is limited, every effort will be made to involve anyone expressing interest in some capacity. Read more and apply by Nov. 1 here.
  • Start Gifting with IndyBar's Giving! - 2020 has been a year full of new challenges but also new opportunities. The event planning and fundraising efforts of the Indianapolis Bar Association & Foundation are no exception! The final devastating blow: “law prom” has been canceled. Of course, we’re talking about the Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF) annual Evening Under the Stars Gala & Auction. For 2020 (and likely 2021,) in lieu of the annual gala, the IBF will host an online holiday auction: IndyBar’s Giving. This special event will take place during the week of Thanksgiving in an effort to kick-start holiday shopping and get members into the holiday spirit. Read more.
  • Day of Giving Raises More than $36,000 - IndyBar members and the community showed overwhelming support during the Indianapolis Bar Foundation’s third annual Day of Giving, which raised $36,475 from more than 250 donors. During such a challenging year, the foundation and its leadership is infinitely grateful for the generosity of the community, as well as the many hours of dedication by IBF volunteers and committee members to help spread the word about this important day. Read more.
