The Indianapolis Bar Association Intellectual Property Section is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships to encourage all eligible law students to complete the Patent Bar Exam. Achieving this goal will enable you as a student to concentrate on the critical summer clerkship and help make you more attractive to prospective employers after graduation.

The section will reimburse Patent Bar Exam fees up to $500 toward exam funds and/or funds to apply toward a review course. Multiple scholarships may be awarded. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2020.

Selection Criteria:
This scholarship is available to law students who are: (a) a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Intellectual Property Section; (b) qualified to take the US Patent Bar; (c) agree to take the US Patent Bar in the summer of 2020 and (d) preference will be given to those individuals demonstrating interest in active Indianapolis Bar Association participation.

Scholarship Policy:
Patent bar fees for scholarship recipient(s) will be reimbursed by the Indianapolis Bar Association. Scholarship recipient must present (a) receipts showing payment of US Patent Office and testing facility fees; and (b) proof of examination. Passing the bar is not required. However, a copy of the certification of completion from the testing facility provided at the time of the test or other proof that examination was completed is required.
