Cupid may have his arrow, but the Indianapolis Bar Association has something better--a quick and easy answer to a nagging legal question. Local lawyers will share the love this Valentine's Day by helping Indy-area residents solve an issue or get direction on what to do next through the association's Legal Line program, a free legal advice call-in service. These attorney volunteers will answer calls to help the public from 6 to 8 p.m. at 317-269-2000.

Lawyers answering Legal Line calls work in law firms, agencies and organizations throughout the city and donate their time in order to provide this valuable community service. They'll be prepared to provide assistance with questions on topics like divorce, child custody, child support, landlord/tenant issues, bankruptcy, personal injury, employment law and more.  All calls are confidential.

Legal Line takes place the second Tuesday of each month from January through November. Following this month's program, the next Legal Line will take place on Tuesday, March 14. For more information on legal advice programs offered by the Indianapolis Bar Association, visit indybar.org/legaladvice.

Individuals seeking representation by a lawyer are encouraged to contact the IndyBar’s Lawyer Referral Service at (317) 269-2222, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or go online to www.indylawyerfinder.com.

This community service is sponsored by the Indianapolis Bar Association, a 139-year-old organization of Indianapolis area attorneys, judges, paralegals and law students, and is made possible through the generosity of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the association.
