The Indianapolis Bar Association continues to closely follow Senate Bill 352, which proposes the establishment of a new selection system for Marion County Superior Court Judges. IndyBar representatives testified before the House Courts and Criminal Code Committee as various amendments continue to positively shape the evolution of this bill. The merit selection concept passed through committee by an 8-2 vote.

We pledged to continue to work closely with Legislators to refine the bill as necessary in order to achieve a fair and diverse selection system that will ensure the continued quality of our local judiciary.  If you have questions about the bill or comments for our Legislative Committee, please contact IndyBar President Judge Robyn Moberly at rmoberly@indybar.org.
