Trader Joes' Lawsuit Against Canadian Store Pirate Joe's Revived

The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit finds Trader Joe’s federal trademark and unfair competition claims against Vancouver-based retailer Michael Norman Hallatt, d/b/a Pirate Joe’s, sufficiently allege conduct that could impact American commerce to justify extraterritorial application of the Lanham Act.
