Thanks to the generosity of countless donors across the city, the
Suited Up clothing drive was a sweeping success! The items donated will be given to 12 college-bound students from
Starfish Initiative, an organization that supports disadvantaged high school students.
"The clothing drive was excellent – we were overwhelmed by the community’s participation," said Ian Goodman, Rubin Levin PC, one of the Suited Up program leaders.
What's next for Suited Up students?
"The students will come to a fitting event on March 3 at Riley Bennett & Egloff," said Mr. Goodman. "We’ll match them with their clothes, and Jos. A. Bank will be there to take measurements in preparation for tailoring."
Following that, the clothes will tailored and dry cleaned by Classic Cleaners. The program will culminate with an event later this spring where the students will receive their outfits.
"Young lawyers and law students will give a presentation about interview tips, college tips and more," said Mr. Goodman.
This program wouldn't be possible without the generous support of many people who cleaned out their closets to give clothes to the students. Thanks for getting Suited Up off to a great start!
