One of the most frustrating aspects in networking is how even if you go to events or ask around to meet people, you tend to only connect with the same group of people. A new app available for iOS or Android is a great way to find likeminded locals that you may not find otherwise. Shapr is an app styled similarly to Tinder but with the focus on networking and connecting professionals. Each person creates a profile, particularly featuring ten main focuses for their profession that the app uses to connect you to others. The app then offers a set amount of potential matches each day that you can swipe left or right, depending if they are someone you wish to connect. While there are plenty of attorneys to be matched, this kind of app would be great if you want to make better connections outside the legal community that could benefit from your skills. Plenty of startup businesses and nonprofit organization founders are wanting to build their ideas and this app is an easy way to find new clients or friends.
