On the morning of Friday, November 6, a group of law students met with attorneys to have an informal, frank discussion about effective techniques for networking as a lawyer. The students learned from the experienced networkers and included some of their own experiences with networking.
Some of the highlights discussed included:
- Follow up with people when they mention meeting up and do not delay
- Frame networking as making friends to create a more genuine connection
- You never know who might be the referral that leads to a client or even a job
- One of the best ways to meet more in the legal community is by joining the Indy Attorneys Network
