Social media is a blessing. However, if not used properly, it can also be a curse – AND a source of attorney misconduct, malpractice and a variety of other problems. Read this information from the ABA Journal whereby a civil trial in Iowa was postponed due to a lawyer’s comments on Facebook. Lesson learned: When it comes to social media, it is a great way to stay in touch with colleagues, refer and obtain business, but the less said about your current clients and pending cases, the better.
