In order to be effective advocates for our clients, we need to take care of ourselves. This means, among other important activities, drinking enough water, eating healthy, exercising regularly and getting necessary and sufficient sleep. Getting sufficient sleep also improves our relationships with others because it improves our memory and helps us to make better decisions.
