Happy (belated) New Year IndyBar eDiscovery, Information Governance and Cybersecurity Section Members!

We have such an exciting year ahead for our Section, and we don’t want you to miss out! I hope you’re considering renewing your membership in our Section for 2019.  I’d like to highlight a few events and member benefits you can look forward to as a Section member this year:

  • Vendor Catalog featuring a “one-stop shop” for all of your Vendor needs;
  • March 7, 2019: “eDiscovery and Public Records Requests under APRA” CLE;
  • May 21, 2019: “Race into E-Discovery” CLE;
  • “Member Spotlights” highlighting Section member accomplishments / unique services;
  • Posts providing eDiscovery “best practices”;
  • December 13, 2019: eDiscovery Day CLE and Vendor Exhibit / Demo Hall; and
  • IndyBar eDiscovery, Information Governance and Cybersecurity Award opportunities.

Please continue to check the “Events and Education” section of the IndyBar website periodically throughout the year for additional events and more details.

Also, as your 2019 Section Chair, let me introduce myself. I am a Partner in the Litigation Department at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and a member of the firm’s eDiscovery, Data and Document Management Practice Group.  I earned my J.D. cum laude from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law.  I have been involved in the IndyBar since law school – receiving the Law Student of the Year Award in 2009, graduating from Bar Leader Series (Class XV) in 2018, and serving as the Young Lawyer’s Division Chair in 2016, and the Chair of this Section in 2019.  For more details, check out my bio:  https://www.btlaw.com/jennifer-r-tudor/

Next, I’d like to introduce you to the other members of our 2019 Board: Guna Rogers of Beckman Coulter, Robert Simmons of Wooden McLaughlin LLP, Michael Daniels at IU McKinney, Cheri Spicer of the IEERB, Stephanie Boxell of Faegre Baker & Daniels, Justin Wiser of Frost Brown Todd, and Ray Biederman, Jon Mattingly and Sean Burke of Mattingly, Burke, Cohen & Biederman LLP.   A big thank you to Ray, our former Chair, for a great 2018!

Now is the time to renew your IndyBar and Section membership for 2019.  If you have already renewed your membership, thank you!  For those of you that have not, click here to do so.  If you don’t know your username or password, just contact Kara Sikorski (ksikorksi@indybar.org) to get your unique, no-login-required renewal link.  Renew today!

As always, if you have any suggestions (e.g., CLE topics of interest, helpful forms, civic support, networking opportunities) on ways to better the Section in 2019, please do not hesitate to reach out to the IndyBar or me directly at jwright@btlaw.com

I look forward to meeting you in person at one of our upcoming events! Cheers!
