Meet the executive committee: Lucy Snyder, Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman PC
I am a senior litigation paralegal at Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman PC and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the legal field and have worked in several areas of the law, including criminal, business, bankruptcy, corporate, elder law, estate planning, adoption, immigration, family law and, currently, health care litigation.
I graduated with honors from IUPUI, with a major in anthropology (focus on archaeology) and a minor in philosophy. So, yeah, at one point I wanted to be Indiana Jones.
More recently, I’ve become an Indiana Registered Paralegal. I serve on the board of the Indiana Paralegal Association and am a member of Women in eDiscovery, the Indiana Bar Association Paralegal Committee and, of course, the Indianapolis Bar Association.
In my private life, I am mother to the best little boy and a roommate to three lady cats, who all do their best to make sure I never get too lazy. To keep up with them and offset eating like a toddler, I work out regularly, preferring weight lifting to running. I spend most of my weekends at the Indianapolis Zoo or Children’s Museum or racing hot wheels. When I get a break from being a mom, I try to catch local bands performing or pop into local art events like First Friday. I love to camp, ride bikes, hike, cook, read murder mysteries and watch historical fiction.
I’m excited to be a member of the executive committee for the E-Discovery, Information Governance & Cybersecurity Section and look forward to meeting you at one of our events soon. The section has several CLE opportunities coming up over the course of 2020, including a full-day in December in honor of E-Discovery Day. Keep an eye on your email or check the IndyBar website to take full advantage of these events!
