The E-Discovery, Information Governance & Cybersecurity Section concluded the year with our annual E-Discovery Day event on December 13, 2019. We were very fortunate to be able to offer another full agenda of pertinent and important topics, including cybersecurity threats and defense strategies, ethics and ESI negotiations/developments, a judicial panel and in-house counsel perspectives. We are grateful for the participation of this year’s speakers and look forward to continued collaboration and partnership in 2020.
The section presented Helen Geib with our annual Professional of the Year award. Helen is corporate counsel with XACT DATA DISCOVERY (XDD). The Section recognized Helen for her contributions to the Indianapolis legal community. In addition to her work with XDD (and QDiscovery), Helen is a regular speaker at CLEs and published numerous articles on E-Discovery and Information Governance topics.
The section sends a special thank you to our event sponsors and to Barnes & Thornburg LLP for hosting E-Discovery Day. Lastly, we extend our appreciation to the 2019 section Chair Jennifer Tudor Wright for another successful year and welcome 2020 Section Chair Robert Simmons.
Overall, 2019 was a successful year. On behalf of the section, we hope you will renew your membership in 2020 as we continue to expand the E-Discovery, Information Governance & Cybersecurity professional community in Indianapolis.
