In June 1997, Mary Schmich wrote an essay for the Chicago Tribune that became known as “Wear Sunscreen.” Twenty-four years and two weeks later, IndyBar Foundation President Adam Christensen presents his attempt at the same, a hat tip to “Wear Sunscreen,” tailored for our profession and our times.

Through the Virtual Ask a Lawyer program, individuals can chat in real time with an attorney who is prepared to assist with basic legal questions. The service, regularly available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, will be available for extended hours through 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8.

The Indianapolis Bar Foundation will boost its impact in the community in 2021 as it awards $60,000 in grants to both a community partner through its $35,000 Community Empowerment Grant and local attorneys through its Crisis Empowerment Grants, which will total $25,000.
