Government Practice News

Take a look at an update from Justin Swanson, 2017 Chair of the Government Practice Section!

The Government Practice Section, along with the Criminal Justice Section and the Litigation Section, hosted a CLE with the new Attorney General Curtis Hill on Wednesday, March 29 at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. We had a great turn out and were thrilled to have AG Hill spend an hour after the CLE speaking with attendees during the social. We also streamed the event through Facebook Live, which proved to be a popular option for those unable to attend in person.

We are diligently working on planning our next CLE. As always, if you have an idea for a blogpost, a CLE or a social event, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

The General Assembly is scheduled to sine die on April 21. There are substantial issues like a long-term sustainable road funding solution, the process of election judges in Marion County, expansion of the current pre-k pilot program and regulation of home-sharing platforms like Airbnb still need to be worked on in the last two weeks of session.
