Message from the Chair: September 2017

Dear Family Law Section members,

Maximize your membership! Be sure to take advantage of all that IndyBar is offering for free this September during Member Appreciation Month. And for the vast majority of you who are Plus CLE members of our section, don’t miss the free CLE opportunities coming up between now and the end of the year!

Speaking of CLE, we are starting to plan for next year. If you have ideas for topics or speakers, please contact any member of your Executive Committee. Don’t worry: we won’t make you plan the program just because you suggested it!

From the rumor mill: Yes, Marion County judicial officers’ schedules are changing over the next 5 to 6 weeks. No details are available yet; the Tip of the Week will keep you posted. Please be patient and remind your clients that their cases are very important to the courts.

Finally, we’ll be sending out a survey near year’s end to ask for your thoughts, ideas and even criticisms of the activities of the Family Law Section. Please start thinking about what works for you, what you’d like to see more of and ways to maximize the benefit of your membership dues.
