According to The Indiana Lawyer, the records department of the Marion County clerk’s office is relocating from the sub-basement of the Indianapolis City-County Building to a consolidated records department at 1330 S. Madison Ave. A news release from Clerk Mrya Eldridge says the transition enables the office to store records in one location, increase storage space and decrease costs.

The transition began last week and the department began operating in the new location Tuesday. The phone number remains the same — 317-327-4715 — as do hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, and the process for submitting requests for court files stored in the records department.
