The Family Law Section is pleased and excited to present the Family Law Section Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize those individuals and/or organizations who have made contributions to the legal profession and the community. Specifically, these recipients have demonstrated a commitment to furthering knowledge of issues affecting families as they relate to laws and policies within the Bar and among colleagues as well as have shown a commitment to furthering the interests of families and the Indianapolis community at large.
This award was first given in 2015 to Carol Terzo. The award was a recognition of her years of service to the Indiana family law community from the prosecutor’s office, to the Indianapolis bench, and in fostering alternative dispute resolution at her mediation and arbitration practice at The Mediation Option LLC. This award is meant to be an annual award seeking recognition of the service of so many of the practitioners in central Indiana who have helped the advancement of Family Law in Indiana.
We are requesting your assistance in identifying those who have worked tirelessly to advance the cause of families. The award seeks to honor attorneys, both practicing and retired, other professionals, law firms, law students, paralegals and organizations who have shown a passion and dedication to promoting family law issues through advocacy and education.
Nominations will be accepted beginning immediately, and are due no later than November 10, 2016. The award will be presented during the section's annual holiday party on December 6, 2016. Nominations may be made online here.
