The countdown is on…only 1 more day until Bench Bar! I know, I know…I am excited too!

But, there is another countdown on…only 6 more days to turn in applications for the Bar Leader Series! You can learn more about the program and find the application here.

I had the honor of being part of the program last year and have so many amazing things to say about it. The program is designed to develop leadership skills in attorneys that have been practicing between 3 and 10 years. Each session prominent and passionate people from the community spoke about issues facing Indianapolis, what residents are doing to lead change and how we as Bar Leaders can make a positive impact too. These speakers included Rep. Susan Brooks, Hon. Mark Massa, Martha Hoover of Café Patachou fame, Former Mayor Ballard, Chief Troy Riggs, Rev. Harrison of the 10-Point Coalition, and Hon. Jane Magnus-Stinson, just to name a few. I encourage anyone to apply or pass on this info to someone that may be interested. I would be happy to answer questions anyone has about the program as well.

Hope to see many of you at Bench Bar!
