The Marion Superior Court Probate Division has selected Melanie Kendrick as a Magistrate to replace retired Magistrate J. Richard Turner.

Ms. Kendrick holds a bachelor's degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University. She is leaving her position as Title IX Coordinator at the University of Southern Indiana (USI), where she was responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating the University's compliance with Title IX. Prior to her time at USI, she was Public Defender in Marion County practicing in Juvenile Delinquency, Adult Problem Solving Courts, and Probate Court. Ms. Kendrick will begin March 5, 2018.
