A recent study by Purdue University found that plants in Eagle Creek Park showed severe damage caused by deer. Ecologist Michael Jenkins' recommendation based on the findings is to allow deer hunting in the park. Hunting is prohibited in all Indianapolis parks, and some animal rights workers argue that the study's findings are questionable. Read more about the issue here.
