Environmental Law News

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is hosting a series of open forums to gather feedback on revisions to the Remediation Closure Guide (Nonrule Policy Document Waste-0046-R1) on several specific technical topics:

  • Conditions that should prompt an investigation of vapor intrusion potential;
  • Vapor delineation, including delineation of soil gas plumes and vapors in sewers and other open conduits;
  • Conditions that require a vapor remedy, and conditions that indicate a vapor remedy is adequate; and
  • Other topics, to include measurement of leaching potential and any other subjects of concern to participants.

These opportunities for input are in addition to the public comment period that will precede presentation of the Nonrule Policy Document to the Environmental Rules Board.
