About Second Helpings and Tonic Ball

Second Helpings accepts donated perishable and overstocked food to prepare nutritious meals for thousands of hungry children and adults every day, and distributes them free of charge through local social service agencies in Greater Indianapolis. Second Helpings also trains unemployed and underemployed adults for meaningful careers in the culinary industry. To learn more, visit www.secondhelpings.org.

Tonic Ball is a celebration of local music and art, a night of fun and excitement, and it’s all for a good cause. Each year, three iconic bands and/or musicians are chosen along with local performers to cover a few of their songs. Proceeds from ticket sales to the show go toward Second Helpings. Tiny Tonic is a free event for kids held the weekend before the Tonic Ball that features kid-friendly versions of the songs by the artists being featured at Tonic Ball. We’ll have lots of other activities to keep our littlest Tonic fans busy, including art, crafts and lunch. By bringing your child to Tiny Tonic, they’ll also get a chance to help out at Second Helpings—which can help give them a great introduction to community service.
