Marion Superior Court Announces 2019 Court Assignments - Criminal Justice News

The Marion Superior Court Executive Committee, pursuant to local rule and vote, made the following court assignments to commence January 2019:

Criminal Court 1: Judge Barbara Cook Crawford, who currently presides over Criminal Court 9, will take over for Judge Kurt Eisgruber.

Criminal Court 2: Judge Shatrese Flowers, who currently presides over Criminal Court 20, will take over for Judge Marc Rothenberg.

Criminal Court 9: Charnette Garner, who was recently appointed by the Governor to take the bench January 1, 2019, will take over for Judge Barbara Cook Crawford.

Criminal Court 20: Jennifer Harrison, who was recently appointed by the Governor to take the bench January 1, 2019, will take over for Judge Shatrese Flowers.

Civil Court 6: Judge Kurt Eisgruber, who currently presides over Criminal Court 1, will take over for retiring Judge Thomas Carroll.

Civil Court 7: Judge Marc Rothenberg, who currently presides over Criminal Court 2, will take over for retiring Judge Michael Keele.

Civil Court 15: Magistrate Mark Jones, who currently serves as a magistrate for the Marion Circuit Court, will preside over a newly-created second Juvenile Court.  The vacancy was created by the retirement of Judge Rebekah Pierson-Treacy and the closure of Criminal Court 19.

All other current court assignments will remain the same.
