All of us recall the stress of becoming a new attorney. Between the inevitably mounting student loan debt and not knowing how you will fit into the legal community, how could you possibly get involved or afford membership dues in the Indianapolis Bar Association? The Criminal Justice Section has the answer!

Once again, the Criminal Justice Section will offer a scholarship to attorneys in their first seven years of practice. The scholarship, awarded to eight individuals in public or private practice, will be given to those new attorneys who have begun or are interested in a career in the criminal justice system.

Go here for more details and to apply. Applications are due November 2, 2018. If you know anyone else who may be eligible, please spread the word about this exciting opportunity!

Curious about how you could benefit from being a member of the section? Check out this video for some real testimonials from real section members!

Please direct any questions regarding the scholarship to Deneen Fitzgerald at dfitzgerald@indybar.org.

If you would like to submit content or write an article for the Criminal Justice Section, please email Kara Sikorski at ksikorski@indybar.org.
