Criminal Justice News

The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) is looking for a private defense attorney who is able to provide them with information on needs from a juvenile defense perspective. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to potentially have a voice at the state level on juvenile justice matters. The group is an advisory group covering all avenues of juvenile justice. ICJI desires input on policy, areas of need around the state, and any other relevant topics that need to be addressed. For instance, the current advisory group has identified rights of the juvenile offender as an area of improvement.

It would be beneficial to have someone with a defense perspective in the group who has practical knowledge of how juveniles are treated within the court setting.

Interested individuals may NOT be employed by state or local government. This is a political appointment subject to limited financial disclosures and background checks.

Interested individuals should contact Devon McDonald at demcdonald@cji.in.gov.
