The IndyBar Criminal Justice Section is proud to award the Marion Superior Court Technology Team with the 2020 Gil I. Berry Award. Awarded to individuals within Indy's criminal court community, winners are selected by nomination with the goal of spotlighting the "unsung" individuals working in the criminal courts.

2020 has been an extraordinary year, and we took the extraordinary step of recognizing the full Court Technology Team for their tireless work getting the Courts running remotely. Normally, the award is presented to an individual; this did not seem appropriate this year. It took a Herculean amount of work in an extremely short amount of time. While there were bumps in the road at the beginning, within weeks every criminal court in Marion County was running remotely.

As a section, we could think of no more deserving group and are humbled to be able to provide recognition for their tireless efforts.
