The Mayor's Office is in discussions with various stakeholders on improvements to the Marion County justice system. One of those stakeholders is the Indianapolis Bar Association and its members. IndyBar members have been invited to a town hall-style discussion at the Education Center of the Indianapolis Bar Association on October 13, 2016 starting at 3:30 p.m. Representatives from Mayor Hogsett’s office will be on hand to discuss ideas for improvements within the justice system in Marion County. His office is also seeking feedback regarding the processes, facilities and any other considerations that may be related to the new facility. Please take this opportunity as your opportunity to contribute to the efforts. You can RSVP online at no cost or just stop in. If you are unable to attend in person, we welcome your thoughts in writing. Please forward those thoughts to IndyBar Executive Director Julie Armstrong at or by mail to the bar office.

Immediately following this town hall will be a free social event for all IndyBar members sponsored by the Criminal Justice Section. The Fall Mix & Mingle is a final member appreciation event with drinks and appetizers provided. Register for the event here. The Criminal Justice Section will also be announcing an exciting scholarship opportunity for prospective new members. We hope to see you at both of these important events!
