As mentioned in a previous post, a new Major Felony Drug Court has been added to the Marion Superior Court, Criminal Division. Originally, this Court was to be called G26. Instead, the new Major Felony Court will be G21, a court currently in existence. It will be located in the Basement of the City-County Building (CCB), along with Major Felony Court G20, which is moving from the 4th Floor East to the Basement.
Any current existing active and pending G21 cases (Protective Order and Ordinance Violation cases) will now be transferred to the new Magistrate Court docket within Court D04.
Magistrate Court docket of D04 will operate in the following rooms:
- Protective Order cases will be heard in room T-341 of the CCB
- Civil Division proceedings supplemental hearings will continue to be heard in T-341
- Health & Hospital and City Prosecutor Cases will be hear in room E-600
- The Clerk and Court office staff that handles Protective Orders and Ordinance Violation cases will function in room T-360.
