Police officers’ use of force has been under the microscope lately, creating a nationwide debate about what is justified in violent circumstances. This CLE, Officer Use of Force and § 1983 Claims, is the second in a series of four that will expand this issue and address the current topics affecting police departments and the lawyers who advise them.

Officer liability is a question that often arises after an officer uses force. This program will look at the anatomy of § 1983 claims and officer liability. It will explore officer liability and municipal liability. Featuring two experienced practitioners, this seminar will give attendees an insightful and in-depth look at some of the issues that arise after officers use force. Don’t miss it!

When: Thursday, September 17 from noon to 1 p.m.
Where: IndyBar Education Center
