Insecurity Among Secured Creditors: Credit Bidding Limits, Lien Avoidance and Fraudulent Transfer Issues

This seminar will explore and provide a comprehensive review of recent cases that have affected the role of secured creditors in Chapter 11 cases, including:

  • limits on credit bidding
  • fraudulent transfer and lien avoidance
  • intercreditor agreements

Attorneys and judges practicing or interested in bankruptcy law should attend.

The speakers will be Wendy Brewer of Jeerson & Brewer LLC and Terry Hall of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP.

Wendy Brewer is a partner with the rm of Jeerson & Brewer LLC, practicing in the areas of businessbankruptcy and restructuring, commercial foreclosures, civil litigation, loan documentation andproviding general counsel advice for small businesses. She has been a frequent speaker onbankruptcy and restructuring topics, including serving as an adjunct instructor in Bankruptcy atIndiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She has been certied as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certication since 2006, and is admitted to practice in Indiana, Florida and Georgia. Ms. Brewer earned her B.A. from Florida State University and her J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law.

Terry Hall is a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, practicing in business nance and restructuring representing companies seeking to restructure as well as creditors seeking recovery. She is also a member of the rm’s energy and agriculture industry teams, and has experience representing renewable energy companies and commercial agricultural companies in project development and nance. Ms. Hall is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute serving on the program committee for the Central States Bankruptcy Workshop. She earned her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
