This program will pack two months of work by the Indiana General Assembly into one hour of key information for lawyers and clients. About the speakers:
Mark Shublak is a partner in Ice Miller LLP’s Public Aairs Group. Mr. Shublak has a multi-dimensional government relations practice that combines public policy advocacy with traditional legal skills. He represents clients in a wide range of matters before legislative and executive bodies at all levels of government. His legislative practice focuses on state and local lobbying, legislative monitoring, grassroots programming and political strategy. Mr. Shublak’s practice spans across all industry sectors, including agriculture, appropriations, commerce, energy, environmental, taxes, technology, transportation and heavily regulated industries. His administrative and regulatory law practice focuses on administrative rules, campaign finance and election law compliance, enforcement matters, government contracts and procurement, licensing matters and regulatory filings. Mr. Shublak earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law
Lawren Mills is Of Counsel at Ice Miller Strategies LLC. She focuses her practice on state, local and federal government issues and public affairs management including legislative monitoring and representation, administrative law and government procurement, campaign finance and election law compliance. She also focuses on policy issues affecting the health care and life science industries. Prior to joining Ice Miller Strategies LLC, Ms. Mills served as the Senior Policy Director and Legislative Director at the Office of Governor Mitch Daniels. She also served as the Policy Director for Human Services under Governor Daniels. Her prior experience also includes serving as the Strategic Initiatives Program Director at the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration where she researched policy issues aecting the health care and social service funding agency. Ms. Mills earned her bachelor's degree from DePauw University and her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
