Indianapolis will play host to this year’s joint Annual Meeting of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association and the Annual Seventh Circuit Judicial Conference on April 30 through May 2 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel. This Bench-Bar meeting is a gathering of federal practitioners and all federal judges from across the Seventh Circuit to discuss important topics related to practice in and business of the federal courts.
The dinner on the evening of May 1 will feature Associate Justice Elena Kagan, who serves as Circuit Justice for the Seventh Circuit, as a keynote speaker. CLE topics will include the future legal education, the future of the Supreme Court, oral argument in the Seventh Circuit, priorities of the Justice Department in the new Administration, and recent developments in sports law, bankruptcy litigation, and class actions.
Indianapolis hosts the meeting once every three years, and so this year’s meeting is an excellent opportunity to engage with like-minded lawyers from across Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin for the betterment of the Circuit and practicing Bar. The agenda, registration, and information on how to sponsor a table at the dinner can be found here.
