A research paper was recently published that aims to assess the management of court staffs by federal appeals judges. While there is a wide variety of management styles and staff positions, including the use of interns or externs or both, law clerks and secretaries, this article aims to fill in the gap about how the 13 federal courts of appeals choose to operate.
