Position supports Bridgestone Americas, Inc. (BSA) and its subsidiaries Firestone Building Products Company, LLC (FSBP) and Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC. (FSIP). Position is located at the Headquarters of FSBP/FSIP in Indianapolis, Indiana but will require regular trips to BSA in Nashville, Tennessee. FSBP is a leading manufacturer and marketer of commercial/industrial roofing systems. FSIP is a leading manufacturer and marketer of commercial and industrial air springs. This position is responsible for providing a variety of legal advice and guidance to FSBP and FSIP as well as supporting the corporate services legal group within BSA. Counsel must work independently with a minimum level of supervision to prioritize and successfully complete numerous and varied legal tasks and projects including general legal advice, contracts and other legal agreements, general corporate transactional work, risk avoidance and compliance. Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work well on a team. Good judgment and instincts, versatility, and a practical attitude to problem solving are necessary. Must be able to identify and work with the team on issues that are particularly high risk, difficult or complex.
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience with a strong focus on manufacturing, regulatory compliance and corporate and transactional law.
• Admission to the bar association
