The IndyBar’s Paralegal Committee and Solo/Small Firm Practice Section have teamed up to create a breakfast series of programs designed to strengthen both individual work styles and skills as well as the paralegal/attorney relationship. This invaluable series will provide real-world tips and tricks to help improve efficiency and effectiveness on a daily basis while allowing for one-on-one interaction between attendees and the facilitator.
All sessions will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the IndyBar office and will include a light breakfast and Non-Legal Subject Matter CLE credit. Cost to attend is $10 per person. See below for session information and links to online registration.

Tuesday, April 17: Working Styles: How to Motivate, Manage & Be Managed
Learn the principles of personality types and how to work effectively together. This roundtable seminar will focus on interactions between attorneys, paralegals and other staff and will offer tips for effective communication.
Tuesday, June 12: Working With Clients: Effective Client Intake and Management
This program is designed to convey effective techniques for conducting an initial client intake. Obtaining complete case information and knowing the client's expectations early on will lead to a more productive client relationship. Join us as we share best practices and effective questions to improve your client intake process. We will also discuss tips on how to diffuse difficult client situations.
Thursday, September 13: Effective Networking
Networking can be challenging even for the seasoned professional. Join us as we learn the when, where, how and why of networking. Our discussion will be led by a former corporate sales trainer who will share tips on how to cultivate relationships that will lead to natural channels of personal and business development.
Thursday, November 8: Best Practices for Online Communication
In our world of email, voicemail, Facebook and Twitter, do you feel like clients are less responsive to your attempts to communicate with them? This program is designed to share best practices for leaving effective voicemail and corresponding with clients via e-mail. This program will be an open discussion and you will leave with practical advice which you can incorporate into your daily routine.
