Estate Planning & Administration Section
Mission
The mission of the section is to promote the objects of the Association within the fields of estate planning and administration and other fields, such as trusts and guardianships, falling within the ambit of Indiana's Probate and Trust Codes and related legislation. To that end, it is the purpose of this Section: (1) to concern itself with every aspect of estate planning and estate, trust and guardianship administration; (2) to study, report upon and recommend improvements to legislation, whether Federal or State, pertaining to the Section's concerns; (3) to bring together members of the Association interested in estate planning and the administration of estates, trusts and guardianships and to confer upon the various problems incurred in these areas; (4) to promote the legal education of members of the Association and the public by sponsoring meetings, institutes and conferences and by preparing and publishing articles concerning estate planning and estate, trust and guardianship administration, and (5) to work closely with the Marion Superior Court, Probate Division, in improving estate, trust and guardianship procedures.

A Message from the Section Chair
“Welcome to the online home of the Indianapolis Bar Association's Estate Planning and Administration section. As the 2013 chair of the section, I encourage you to get involved with the section. I welcome your thoughts about ways the section can further assist you in your practice. I would also encourage you to attend the educational programming offered by the section. This year we are offering the 2013 Probate Practice Series. The series is designed to hone your skills as a probate practitioner all while providing you with your required CLE for the year as well as one hour of Ethics credit. I hope you will take advantage of all that the section offers you. ”
