Unauthorized Practice of Law: Pitfalls for Practicing Lawyers and Other Professionals
Continuing Legal Education
You've got a bar card, so why do you need to know about the unauthorized practice of law? This seminar addresses ethical issues that a licensed lawyer may encounter when helping a client with a problem in another state. Secondly, the seminar addresses the responsibility borne by an Indiana attorney serving as local counsel for an out-of-state attorney who has pro hac vice admission. Finally, to help you advise your clients, this seminar addresses the scope of services that may be provided by in-house counsel and professionals in non-legal fields.
(Disclaimer: At the end of this presentation, a Q&A session is conducted. IndyBar is aware that not all questions are repeated nor captured on audio. We apologize for this and hope it does not detract from the overall course offering.)
