Advising the Client Facing Elder Care
Continuing Legal Education
When elder care is the issue, how do you identify and respond to legal planning and crisis intervention needs? This seminar will present an overview to help non-elder law practitioners understand elder care options, the programs that pay for care, Medicaid, Veterans benefits, Medicare and insurance issues. Topics also covered include asset protection through the use of trusts, needed clauses in powers of attorney, when guardianships are appropriate and exempt asset planning.
This program will be helpful for lawyers, accountants, estate planners, financial services professionals and others not engaged in full-time practice of elder law, who are asked to respond to family members and clients facing the elder care maze.
