The New Indiana POST (Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment) Program
Continuing Legal Education
The Indiana POST (Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment) became legally available on July 1, 2013. This new advance care planning tool is designed for patients with serious illness to ensure their treatment preferences are documented as medical orders. The POST form transfers with patient across settings to ensure preferences are communicated and honored. This session is designed to provide an overview of the Indiana POST Program including key information about how it fits with existing Indiana advance care planning tools.
