The Indianapolis Bar Association is proud to serve the needs of newly admitted attorneys through both the efforts of the Young Lawyers Division and of the IndyBar as a whole. Involvement in the IndyBar as a newer attorney is a proven way to build your practice, network in the community and become a better lawyer.

The IndyBar offers its members dynamic opportunities for involvement proven to develop and hone lifelong leadership skills, while at the same time working to consistently improve the quality of the legal profession in Indianapolis. Widely respected in the legal community, the IndyBar strives to deliver value to attorneys, to their firms and to the Indianapolis community. With several initiatives and events designed specifically for newer attorneys, the IBA works hard to offer services that are relevant and valuable to you.

The Young Lawyers Division

The IndyBar Young Lawyers Division (YLD), which is open to those either in practice eight years or less or 36 years of age or younger, offers a wide variety of programming and events throughout each year. From the Quarterly Luncheon Series to community service events to numerous opportunities for socializing and networking, the YLD offers something for nearly every young attorney in the Indy legal community. The IndyBar tailors its programming to offer both courses required for new attorneys and those that will help newer attorneys learn and progress in the field.
