The Vulnerable Ones: What Young Lawyers Need to Know About Protective Orders, Guardianships, and Incompetent Clients
Continuing Legal Education
June 11, 2014 Wednesday 12:30pm - 1:30pm
This seminar will address how to deal with the specific needs of a client who is the victim of domestic or family violence, including how to protect your client at hearing and mediation, obtaining help and support from other professionals and presenting your client's story and evidence in and out of the courtroom. Also addressed will be how to help clients who are disabled due to age, disability or incapacity.
Lawyers often deal with clients who are at very vulnerable times of their lives. What should you do for clients who are being abused or who are incapable of caring for themselves? Attend this seminar to find out.
Please note: lunch is not included with this seminar. Brown bag lunches are welcome. Carryout is also available from the Labor District Cafe on the second floor of our building. Online ordering is available here.
