Continuing Legal Education

August 22, 2013 Thursday 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Recent controversies have highlighted the complex structure of the IRS. This seminar will discuss the structure and organization of the IRS and practice tips for interacting with Treasury Department and IRS personnel.

The Ways and Means Committee’s “Small Business Draft” proposes significant changes to the taxation of pass-through entities. This program will discuss the Draft and how these proposals will affect owners of partnerships (including LLCs) and S corporations.

If time permits, this seminar will also include discussion of recent cases and IRS administrative guidance that may impact the participants’ clients.

This seminar will be of interest to attorneys who practice before the IRS, tax attorneys, and any other attorneys who represent businesses, particularly businesses organized as partnerships (including LLCs) and S corporations.
