Human Trafficking in Our Back Yard
Continuing Legal Education
August 26, 2013 Monday 11:30am - 1:00pm
Human trafficking is the fastest growing and second largest criminal industry worldwide. The average age that U.S. minors are pulled into commercial sex is 12-14, and between 100,000 and 300,000 U.S. kids are victims of sex trafficking each year. Statistics demonstrate that both labor and sex trafficking have occurred throughout Indiana. This session will prepare attorneys to understand human trafficking law, recognize victims and common trends in trafficking cases, and respond appropriately.
