Probate Practice Series: Federal Estate & Gift Tax Changes for 2013

This program will summarize and explain the rate change, exclusion/exemption amounts and other changes and extensions for the federal estate, gift and GST tax law for 2013 and future years, under the “Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012.”

The program will also cover the technical correction made to the “portability” rules, describe some planning techniques that  could continue to work well in 2013 and later years and remind attendees of some revenue-raising loophole closers that Congress could decide to add to the law in order to address fiscal problems, even if the current rates and exclusion amounts are left alone.
